Abstract
A laser doppler velocimeter system capable of measuring two-components of velocity in periodic flow fields has been developed. A sampling electronic system has been designed to handle the large fast fluctuations in velocity that are encountered in the flow fields of interest. Examples of data from periodically produced vortex rings and a model helicopter rotor are presented. Keywords
