Abstract
The karyotypes of 2 spp., Milvus migrans and Accipiter badius belonging to family Accipitridae, order Falconiformes, were studied. Both had the same diploid chromosome number, i.e., 66. The demarcation between the macro- and microchromosomes is not sharp in either case. The Z-chromosome in A. badius is an sm chromosome being the largest of the whole set and the W is a small T chromosome. In the absence of female plates the Z and W of M. migrans could not be identified. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
