Abstract
Some patients with acute coronary thrombosis seem to get along better sitting up. In 6 patients the cardiac work was detd. in the resting recumbent position and again with the patient in an arm chair. In each patient the calculated cardiac work was less in the arm chair posture. The mean reduction in the work of the heart amounted to 23%.Keywords
