Internationality of the social sciences: Implications for information transfer

Abstract
The claims of the social sciences to be of universal interest, value, and use are challenged. Citation data show that there is not a free flow of information across language and national boundaries. The implications for the design of a new generation of library and information services which reflect the communication activities and information requirements of social scientists are considered.Keywords
