Abstract
Lipoids of Salmonella paratyphi C consist of 21.6% phosphatides and 78.4% neutral lipoids; the first can be separated into 2 fractions with methanol, the first fraction containing no choline and ethanolamine, but a number of amino acids. Inositol and carbohydrates are absent. Neutral fats consist of glycerides; saturated fatty acids consist of palmitinic acid; unsaturated fatty acids consist of oleic acid. The solid and fluid fatty acids of phosphatides are a mixture of several acids. The acetone-soluble lipoids contain 73% fatty acids and 7% unsaponifiable substances. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
