Abstract
Presentation of Case First admission. A seventy-three-year-old man entered the hospital because of nausea and vomiting.During the year before admission he noticed weakness, fatigue and anorexia. Four months before entry there was aggravation of a chronic cough that was productive of yellowish sputum. He became short of breath, and the weakness and fatigue increased. Two weeks before admission his physician gave him digitalis. Ten days later he received diuretic therapy as well as additional digitalis.
