RENAL ARTERY ANEURYSMS

Abstract
Since patients with calcified renal artery aneurysms may also have noncalcified aneurysms, the presence of calcification in a renal artery aneurysm does not, in itself, exclude the possibility of serious retroperitoneal hemorrhage from the non-calcified aneurysms. It is feasible that an aneurysm alone, without associated stricture or thrombus in the vessel and without associated intraparenchymal renal disease, may well be sufficient to produce renovascular hypertension.
