Abstract
In 1987, we carried out eight large-scale surveys on the social psychology for the reform movement in our country. These surveys form the basis of this report. The two large-scale surveys that provide the primary data for this report were carried out by sampling the total nonagrarian population of 122.6 million people in 353 municipalities throughout the country according to a stratified sample. In the surveys, we used identical questionnaires or identical topics and measurement forms for periodical check-ups to assure that the data and conclusions drawn from the surveys are comparable.
