Abstract
Characteristic features of two-dimensional binary object contouring with various edge contouring filters (binary, quadratic, quadratic apodized) are investigated. Dependences of the main parameters of contour profile on the filter type are estimated analytically. Ways of obtaining contour images with minimal effective width are considered. Geometrical distortions of two-dimensional object contouring are estimated. Keywords
