Abstract
Data have indicated that through the use of systematic visual-color reinforcement by means of operant conditioning, a non-verbal autistic child can be taught to verbalize. Visual consequences can be used as a reinforcer to increase the rate of verbalizations. The technique could be used as a diagnostic tool in determining what sounds are already in the child's repertoire. Keywords
