Abstract
A preliminary study of a small stock of red deer ( Cervus elaphus , Linn.) occurring in a relatively isolated and predominantly woodland habitat. Their origin is traced and long-established behaviour patterns are described. The problems of reconciling the conservation of these animals with modern forestry practice are examined, and features which seem to merit further investigation or to have application elsewhere are briefly discussed. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
