Abstract
The nuclei of leukocytes suspended in plasma and frozen to -50[degree]C become typical lupus erythmatosis bodies if the LE factor is present. These bodies exhibit positive chemotaxis and when restored to 37[degree]C and placed in the presence of fresh phagocytes become engulfed, forming typical LE cells. This technique allows production of massive numbers of LE bodies and LE cells freely suspended in a liquid medium. Keywords
