Abstract
A new effective catalyst-system for asymmetric hydrogenation was found, which resembles oxido-reductases in functions. The effects of protonated chiral base in this system made possible to present the mechanism of this catalytic hydrogenation and the enantioselection. The optical yield of benzoin at −10°C reached 78%.Keywords
