Observations and models of H2242 - 035

Abstract
We present observations of H2252 – 035 made in 1980 August and November, which span the wavelength range 1200–22 000 Å. The continuum is well represented by a blackbody of 12 500 K over most of this range. We discuss and reject a model for the optical flux in terms of reprocessing of high-energy radiation from the secondary, and propose a model in terms of reprocessing from the disc and bright-spot region.
