Abstract
Design criteria for construction of helices for microwave spectrometers are discussed with particular attention to large magnetic fields required for double resonance work. Some coil‐to‐guide matching techniques are evaluated with regard to efficiency, sensitivity, and simplicity. Techniques of coil and match evaluation are discussed in detail. Keywords
