Abstract
Coherent intermediate scattering functions are measured by dynamic light scattering for several wave vectors around the structure factor peak on metastable colloidal fluids and glasses of hard spherical particles. The results are quantitatively described by a combination of the α and β processes. The scaling laws and factorization property predicted by mode-coupling theory are verified. Keywords
