Abstract
The variable of interest, x, is assumed to be normally distributed about an unknown mean [mu] with known test-to-test standard deviation [sigma]. When a value of gamma0 is specified (gamma,-, = .50, .95 or .99) with a value of [mu] = [mu]0 such that P(Acceptance [mu]o, ) = gamma0, simple formulae for calculating c1, the cut-off points for determining acceptance or rejection at the 1th stage, and for obtaining probability points on the operating characteristic curve, can be read from tables provided. Allowance for rejection is made at any stage, however, acceptance is only at the final stage. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
