Abstract
Because the Stanford linear electron accelerator produces a pulsed electron beam, a trigger system for precisely timing the switching of the various subsystems is necessary. Components and subsystems of the machine are described. The purpose of this report is to present an up-to-date explanation of the operation of the SLAC trigger system with emphasis on the system functions and block diagrams. Keywords
