Painful brachial plexopathy: an unusual presentation of polyarteritis nodosa

Abstract
Summary: An elderly man was admitted to hospital with an unusual painful bilateral brachial neuropathy, which progressed in spite of high dose corticosteroid therapy. Polyarteritis nodosa, characterized by widespread arteriolar involvement, was shown at post-mortem.
