Nonlinear Stabilization of the Farley-Buneman Instability by StrongTurbulence in a Plasma

Abstract
It is shown that through nonlinear model coupling processes long-wavelength, low-frequency strong turbulence can stabilize short-wavelength, high-frequency Farley-Buneman modes in a weakly ionized low-pressure convecting plasma. Favorable comparisons are made with experimental observations.
