Abstract
Tissue distribution of the oral hypoglycemic agent phenethylbiguanide (I) was detd. on oral and intraperitoneal administration of the C14-labeled drug to Sprague-Dawley rats at 100 mg./kg. Concn. of I was noted in the liver and gastric juice immediately after administration. After 5 hrs. approx. 30% of I was recovered in the urine and within 24 hrs. over 95% had been excreted from the body.Keywords
