Abstract
Geocalyx Nees is newly recorded from Australia. Chiloscyphus montanus Steph. 1914 (non Col. 1889), C. ramosus Steph. 1922 and G. novaezelandiae Herz. 1935 are regarded as conspecific with G. caledonicus Steph. 1908. For its branching mode and other characters Isolembidium Schust. is regarded as close to Dendrolembidium Herz. and Megalembidium Schust. (Lepidozioideae) and excluded from the Lembidioideae. I. cucullatum (Hodgs. 1962) Schust. 1968 is regarded as conspecific with I. anomalum comb. nov. (Lembidium anomalum Rodway 1916). An excellent specimen with many perianths from Yorkshire [UK] was chosen as lectotype of Kurzia pauciflora (Dicks.) Grolle. Lophocolea cavispina (Hook. f. et Tayl. 1844) Fulf. 1976 is an illegitimate superfluous name, which must be placed in synonymy of L. austrigena (Hook. f. et Tayl. 1844) Gottsche et al. (1847). Several taxa treated by Fulford 1976 as synonyms of L. cavispina (Hook. f. et Tayl.) Fulf. are regarded as rather remote good species. Micropterygium tenax comb. nov. (Harpalejeunea tenax Steph. 1901) replaces M. surinamense (Steph. 1924) Reimers 1933. For the Micropterygium sp. proposed by Reimers (1933) isotypes could be traced in B and JE. The neotypes proposed by Fulford (1966) are abandoned. For the African dendroid Pallavicinia sp. the name P. spinosa comb. nov. (Symphyogyna spinosa Lindenb. et Gottsche 1846) is ascertained. S. serrata Mitt. 1875 (St. Helena) and P. stephanii Jack 1892 (Transvaal) are synonymous. A key to the 2 African dendroid species of Pallaviciniaceae, S. podophylla (Thunb.) Mont. et Nees and P. spinosa (Lindenb. et Gottsche) Grolle, is presented. Plagiochila inouei nom. nov. replaces P. nudiuscula Inoue 1977 (Galapagos Islands), non Gottsche 1882 (Madagascar). Pleurocladula nom. nov. replaces Pleuroclada Spruce 1882, non Pleurocladia. A. Braun 1855 (Phaeophyceae). Consequently the binomina Pleurocladula albescens comb. nov. [Jungermannia albescens Hook] and P. islandica comb. nov. [J. islandica Nees] are introduced. Porella swailsii nom. nov. replaces P. apiculata (Herz.) Swails 1970 (Peru), non Chen et Wu 1965 (China). This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
