Abstract
Energy loss from a beam of He+ ions due to inelastic collisions with vaporous sulfur dioxide and dimethyl sulfite has been measured. Application of the Bragg rule to these results suggests minimal d‐orbital involvement in the S–O bonds for these compounds.Keywords
