Abstract
A within subjects design was used to assess the effects of smoking marihujana upon feelings of anxiety. Marihuana did not increase the intensity of an individual's feelings of anxiety. Instead, anxious subjects tended to become less anxious and more euphoric, while nonanxious individuals tended to become somewhat more anxious. Keywords
