Abstract
A survey for the detection of antibodies to M. gallisepticum, S. pullorum, S. typhimurium, S. gallinarum, and Newcastle disease virus in chicken serums in Wisconsin broiler and breeder-type flocks was conducted by the Wisconsin Animal Health Laboratories. This survey emphasizes a widespread prevalence of M. gallisepticum (84.3%) in Wisconsin chicken floks which is a threat to the success of the State Turkey Disease Eradication Program, since only 2.7% of these flocks were infected during the 1964-65 fiscal year. Newcastle disease antibody titers were detected in 78.3% of the 37 chicken flocks tested. No Salmonella antibodies were detected in any of the flocks tested. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
