Abstract
Gamma irradiation of rooted cuttings of carnation (Dianthus caryophyllus L.) produced non-chimeral shoots regenerated from each genotypic layer of periclinal chimera cultivars. Analysis of plants derived from meristem culture and macerated shoot tip culture indicated that chimeral separation could be achieved. Gamma irradiation was mutagenic.
