Abstract
No consistent change during rest or exercise in ventilation, O2 uptake, O2 removal, cardiac output or pulmonary arterial pressure was noted immediately after the intramusc. injn. of khellin or following its prolonged oral admn. in 6 patients with chronic pulmonary disease. An increase in maximum breathing capacity was observed in four cases after a course of oral khellin, suggesting a bronchodilator action. Keywords
