Abstract
The purpose of this research was to develop an optimizing procedure for a multi. pass machining operation. Geometric programming was utilized to determine the values of the machining variable for each pass to yield minimum production cost. The levels of speed and feed were subject to certain restrictions based on allowable values of force, power and surface finish. Keywords
