Abstract
Skinner et al prepared a PZT ceramic with coral skeleton structure and injected silicone rubber. They succeeded in obtaining a high piezoelectric g-constant about 15 to 20 times larger than those of usual conventional piezoelectric ceramics. However, the coral structured PZT ceramic requires the natural coral from the ocean as the starting replica material. This processing is not very compatible with industrial technology, and it has a problem with reproducibility. For this paper we prepared piezoelectric PZT ceramics with regularly controlled ladder structure and measured their properties. We include a discussion of the porosity model. Keywords
