Abstract
A method has been worked out for the estimation of fucosterol in seaweed samples. Ether has been found to be the most satisfactory solvent for the extraction of the fats; after saponification, the fucosterol is estimated in the unsaponifiable fraction by a colorimetric method based on the Liebermann‐Burchard colour reaction. Keywords
