Abstract
Accusing the Holmes Group of selective amnesia regarding lessons learned in the earlier National Teacher Corps and Master of Arts in Teaching efforts to reform teacher education, Cuban sees their plan for action as a historically uninformed Sermon on the Mount. He also finds the analogy of professional development schools to teaching hospital faculty and the lack of attention paid to the politics of change in school administration naive. Keywords
