Abstract
Twenty-five species of parasites were recovered from larvae and pupae of the fruit tree leaf roller, Archips argyrospilus (Walker), and A. griseus (Robinson) from 1964 to 1966. New host records are reported here for 7 of the parasites recovered from A. argyrospilus and all 9 parasites recovered from A. griseus. Percentages of parasitism, as determined for the host collections from Mt. Carmel, Conn., in 1966. revealed that pupal parasitism occurred at a much higher rate than larval parasitism in both host species. Morphological characters by which the 4th- and 5th-instar larvae and pupae of A. argyrospilus were separated from those of A. griseus are described. An artificial food on which 93% of A. argyrospilus larvae and 94% of A. griseus larvae developed to adulthood or parasite emergence is discussed. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
