Abstract
Opidnothrips corticulus gen. et sp. nov., four new species-Neothrips lepidus, Hoplothrips nemorius, Sophiothrips nigrus and Symphothrips aberrans are discussed in this series, along with five species recorded for the first time in this country— Erotidothrips mirabilis Priesner (Erotidothripinae: Aeolothripoidea), Phylladothrips karnyi Priesner, Hoplothrips angusticeps (Hood), Plectrothrips pallipes Hood, and Bactridothrips idolomorphus Karny. Further information pertaining to the intraspecific diversity in the species Callothrips ascitus Ananthakrishnan, Meiothrips menoni Ananthakrishnan and Habrothrips curiosus Ananthakrishnan is also provided.Keywords
