Abstract
The zero-field mobilities of oxygen ions in oxygen have been measured by the Bradbury-Nielsen time-of-flight method at temperatures of 194, 273 and 294 K and at pressures in the range 01-35kPa. The zero-field reduced mobilities of 0; and 0: have been determined to be 22480015 and 2'0770'014cm2 s-1 V-1 at both 273 and 294K. The thermal equilibrium constant for the reaction 0; +02 +02 ;:t 0: +02 , obtained by fitting to the variation of the mobility with gas pressure, was found to be (340 5) x 10-17 and (1202) x 10-17 cm3 at 273 and 294 K respectively. Keywords
