Abstract
The topics discussed are: pharmacological classification of calcium antagonists; tissue selectivity of calcium antagonists; therapeutic uses of drugs with calcium antagonist properties as skeletal muscle relaxants, local anesthetics, anticonvulsants, antiarrhythmic agents, coronary dilators, antihypertensive agents, CNS depressants, aminoglycoside antibiotics and nonsteroidal antiinflammatory agents.
