Abstract
During the course of an investigation on the metacercarial infections of the fishes found in the "Nishatganj Bundha", a dam of the river Gomti located about eight kilometres from the city of Lucknow, a new encysted bucephalid metacercaria of the genus Bucephalopsis Diesing, 1855 was found infesting Esomus danricus (Hamilton) and Nemachilus botia (Hamilton) which are rather uncommon among the fishes of the dam site.Keywords
