Abstract
The A. punctulata plutei have been raised at Woods Hole through late development and metamorphosis by feeding them Nitzschia closterium, a diatom. A descr. of the development is accompanied by photographs. Metamorphosis occurred in about 4 mos. after fertilization. The plutei from the centrifuged eggs and the white halves obtained by centrifuging (then fertilized) develop in the same way, and after a few days cannot be distinguished from normal plutei. Keywords
