Abstract
Two interfering resonances occurring at bombarding energies of 1.32 Mev and 1.51 Mev in the reactions C14(pn)N14 and C14(pγ)N15 have been analyzed in terms of Wigner's two-level formula. Resonant energies and reduced widths have been found which give good fits to the shapes of the yield curves for both processes in the neighborhood of the resonances. The absolute cross sections for the C14(pn)N14 and N14(np)C14 reactions are obtained from the analysis without reference to the measured cross sections. The calculated cross sections are found to be about 40% lower than the measured ones. Keywords
