The effect of illumination on hoarding behavior.

Abstract
Hoarding behavior was tested under a variety of conditions of alley illumination with the cages dark, and also with alleys dark and cages lighted. "The results show clearly that rats hoard more in lighted alleys then in darkened alleys. When the cages were lighted, the rats still hoarded but left the food in the darkened alleys outside the cage doors rather than in the lighted cages."
