Abstract
The biochemical structure and interaction of the four components of the fibrinolytic enzyme system are described and the mechanisms for regulation and control are discussed. The potential is defined for enhancement of thrombolysis at various levels by use of a variety of agents some of which have therapeutic potential in the human. Keywords
