Abstract
Purification of the mucinase present in testicular extracts was achieved by means of (NH4)2SO4 fractionation followed by Pb acetate precipitation under controlled pH. The enzyme could also be purified by diluting with water extracts of testicle obtained with M/1 NaCl. Both mucolytic and diffusing activities were in the precipitate. The lecithinase and protease of Crotalus atrox were more thermostable than the mucinase present in it. Conc. of the mucinase from this venom was carried out by (NH4)2SO4 fractionation and by adsorption methods. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
