Abstract
Solid-fluid transition of a quantum system interacting through a repulsive Yukawa potential is studied by use of a quantized lattice model in both cases of fermions and bosons. The obtained density-temperature phase diagrams are quite different from those of an inverse power potential system, showing qualitatively different behavior depending on the statistics and the value of the quantumness parameter. A possibility that model neutron matter might crystallize at finite temperatures is pointed out. Keywords
