Abstract

Laser excited and time resolved fluorescence spectra of low valence transition-metal ions (Cu⁺, Ti³⁺, Cr³⁺) in various kinds of inorganic glasses (phosphate, fluorophosphate and fluoride) have been studied at low and room temperatures. Dynamic lattice model and site structure of activated ions are discussed.
