INVESTIGATION OF THE CRITICAL SCATTERING AT THE STRUCTURAL PHASE TRANSITION IN RbCaF3USING MÖSSBAUER DIFFRACTION

Abstract
The critical scattering near the phase transition of RbCaF3 from its cubic O1h(Pm3m) to the tetragonal D184h(14/mcm) structure at Tc = 196 K is investigated. Mössbauer diffraction is applied to separate elastic and inelastic scattering intensities with energy resolution of 60 neV. The influence of domains is shown from X-ray diffraction
