Abstract
Breeding data based on 245 nests found between 1969 and 1983 in 1 study area in Choma and on nests from elsewhere in the Southern Province, Zambia, are presented for 4 Caprimulgus [C. rufigena, C. pectoralis, C. fossii, Caprimulgus spp.] and 1 Macrodipteryx [M. vexillaria] spp. Nest sites, breeding seasons, clutch size, laying sequence, measurements, weights and descriptions are given and compared for the 5 common savanna nightjars of south and central Africa. Errors in the literature are revealed. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
