Abstract
This report presents a case in which an angioplasty balloon catheter became entrapped within the lumen of a coronary artery after rupture during percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA). Prior to this report, balloon rupture had been considered a relatively benign occurrence. However, this case demonstrates that balloon rupture may lead to serious complications. Keywords
