Abstract
Data taken from bats captured in mist nets provide information regarding seasonal and annual fluctuations of populations for a period of 8 years, and relative abundance of the 19 species encountered. Seasonal changes in populations of bats are correlated with the availability of water, especially in areas where water is relatively scarce. In addition to predation and the presence of suitable roosting sites and adequate food supplies, it seems that the availability of adequate water and water surfaces for drinking is an important factor influencing distribution and size of populations of bats. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
