Room-Temperature Electrophotoluminescence in KCl

Abstract
Some data showing the existence of electrophotoluminescence in alkali halides at room temperature are reported. The effect is studied for in KCl(KI) and a model which relates it to variations of the absorption coefficient is proposed.
