Abstract
HuIFN-α genes form a family of not less than 9–10 distinct members, at least three of which are arranged in tandem. In one case, two variants, believed to be alleles of the same gene, could be identified by sequence analysis. The three genes sequenced so far are devoid of introns. Keywords
