Abstract
A study on salivary secretion in human volunteers reveals a significant increase following topical application of sodium glutamate to the dorsum of the tongue. Basal and stimulated salivary secretion is modified by pretreatment with Diazepam which decreases the flow rate for at least 3 hours. Keywords
